toronto & Area

Most Canadians either love or hate Toronto and the surrounding suburbs. It’s big, it’s fast, everyone is there, and there’s always something to do; it’s Canada’s version of New York and Chicago. In many ways it’s the center of the country. The downside is that Torontonians are certainly not shy about assuming they are the center of the country, and sometimes that legendary Canadian politeness is stretched thin here. Typical for Toronto, they wouldn’t let me in to the main library at UT. But I like to visit the city, though I’d rather live in the more laid-back outlying areas.
