Here are more photos from 2014 to now, many of Ansan here I now work and live, but with other places as well. Again, this section is for photographs and tourist travel. I write about Korea and North Korea on my blogette as well.
I don’t always have good days in Korea, although the country is becoming more accepting of foreigners and more liveable, and the food choice still isn’t great but it’s improving. What always disappoints me is how badly Korea is marketed by tourism bureaucrats, who have a fantasy of awed blonde females in hanboks drawing Hangul letters in temples at sunrise. I know I don’t photograph shopping and nightlife so much, but it is here, and the architecture and amenities are starting to shed their Stalinesque functionality and take on some flair and fun. And yes, there’s life outside Seoul. |
