Vilnius, Lithuania

The Baltic nations don't seem to get a lot of visitors, and that's a shame. The people are nice, prices are low, and the sites have a natural feeling to them, as they aren't spoiled by over-tourism. I was there in October 2020, and while it was quiet because of COVID, Vilnius is really beautiful, with a slightly crumbly but authentic white marble look to its many antique buildings, churches, and the university campus.

If You Go
English isn't a problem, at least in the city center. But people aren't sneezing at you. "Thank you" in Lithuanian really does sound like "achoo!"
